"Community over competition" is a phrase you hear often in the photography world, but when you find people who truly embody it, it’s something special. I’ve been lucky enough to build genuine friendships through photography, and one of those friendships started this past September at the Skagit Valley Wedding Show. That’s where I met Kymber, a fellow photographer, and we instantly hit it off.
When Kymber reached out about swapping headshots and branding photos, I didn’t hesitate—“Heck yes!” One of the best things about having photographer friends is being able to capture each other in a way that feels authentic and true to our brands. Instead of stressing over self-timers or asking a non-photographer friend to “just press the button,” we get to create together.
For our session, we embraced the winter wonderland, frolicking in the snow, laughing between shots, and capturing the kind of images we’d want for our own brands. It was the perfect blend of work and play, and a reminder of why community in this industry matters so much.

I edited all of these photos using my Hometown Preset Pack! Please note that Kymber took all of the photos of me.
