This past year I've invested a lot of time into learning so that I can better provide for my clients. One of the highlights of my year has been mentoring under the amazingly talented Mae Burke, Mae Burke Photography. I am so grateful to have her not only teaching me but genuinely cheering me on in the pursuit of my art and business. I had the pleasure of capturing photos of Mae and her family on a very windy and chilly afternoon not too long ago. Mae encouraged me to try a photo technique that has always intimidated me before called free-lensing. Like everything worth learning, free-lensing takes practice and was super tricky for me, but I'm so glad I tried! Scroll to the last two photos to see my first try at this photography technique!
