I want to start by saying that it is an honor just to be considered to document your birth. Documenting a families' story is at the heart of why I became a photographer and capturing a new life being welcomed into the world has always been a dream of mine.

YOUR STORY
As a photographer, my ultimate goal is to tell your unique story. A huge part of that is getting to know you before I ever pick up my camera. Even with traditional family photos, I truly make an effort to know my clients as new friends, but especially for birth photography, I want y'all to feel completely comfortable with my presence during such an intimate and sacred moment. I will capture photos of your labor and delivery in a documentary style that will focus on raw emotions and intimate connections as you welcome your baby into this world!
The investment for birth photography is obviously a little different than scheduling a regular family photoshoot because no one but baby knows when labor will begin or how long labor will last. I will be on-call 24/7 starting at 37 weeks gestation. During this on-call period, I will remain local and will be prepared to leave for your birth immediately, night or day. Once active labor begins, I will be there to document your story until 1-2 hours after baby arrives! You will receive a sneak peek gallery (5 edited images) within 24 hours and your full gallery will be sent within 2-3 weeks of your delivery.
While I am fully confident in my ability to beautifully and professionally capture your birth story, this will be my first time photographing a birth and as such I am happy to extend special accommodations to ensure that you receive the very best experience: should I arrive after baby is born or if active labor is less than 4 hours, I will include a lifestyle newborn session in the price of your birth package. Lifestyle newborn sessions typically last 1-2 hours and occur 1-2 weeks after birth.

Q & A
What is required to officially book you as our photographer?
When you are ready to book, I will send you a session contract and your invoice. I require a $150 retainer to be paid at the time of booking. The remainder of your invoice will be due 2 weeks before your due date.
When will you arrive during the labor process?
While I officially go on-call for your birth at 37 weeks, babies can be unpredictable. Should labor commence sooner and, if possible, I will make every effort to be there, regardless of whether our on-call period has begun. I will ask you to call me as soon as labor begins. While you are in the early stages of labor (irregular contractions, 1-5cm dilated) we will remain in communication. I will join you as active labor begins (regular contractions, approximately 6cm dilated). I will remain with you during active labor until 1-2 hours after baby arrives.
What happens if the baby arrives very quickly?
If baby is born before I arrive or if active labor is less than 4 hours, I will include a lifestyle newborn session in the price of your package. Lifestyle newborn sessions typically last 1-2 hours and occur 1-2 weeks after birth.
When will we receive our photos?
I will deliver a small sneak peek gallery (5 images) within 24 hours of baby's birth. Your full gallery will be delivered within 2-3 weeks of the birth.
How will we receive our photos?
Your photos will be deliered via a private online gallery. Your gallery will be available for one year. You will be able to download full-resolution digital images directly from your gallery. Professional prints and other products can be purchased directly from your gallery.
Can we print the photos on our own?
Yes! Of course! You will receive a personal use print release with your gallery. You can print your photos at home or through third party printers! I recommed using mpix.com, however, I am unable to guarantee the quality of prints purchased through third parties.
